Dublin To Doolin County Clare Private Luxury Car Transfer

About This Tour

Whether you’re coming off a flight at Dublin Airport or heading out from the city centre, your professional chauffeur meets you at arrivals or your city pickup point and takes it from there. You and your luggage travel in a private, air-conditioned car with WiFi on board - no shared coaches, no waiting for strangers to show up, no stress.

Doolin sits just north of the Cliffs of Moher on the Clare coast, about 3 to 4 hours from Dublin depending on traffic. It’s one of those villages that punches well above its size for traditional music, and getting there in a comfortable private car is a far better start to a Clare trip than squeezing onto a public bus with your bags.

For the return journey, just book the same transfer for your departure date and let the operator know your pickup time, location, and drop-off point when you confirm.

Local Tips

Doolin is a small village but it’s the traditional music capital of Clare, which is saying something in a county that takes music seriously. If you’re arriving in the evening, the pubs - McDermott’s, Gus O’Connor’s, and McGann’s in particular - tend to have sessions most nights. Your chauffeur can drop you directly to wherever you’re staying.

The drive from Dublin takes you through the heart of the Burren as you approach Clare from the north. The landscape shifts dramatically once you cross the county border - the grey limestone pavement, the small glacial lakes, and the wild flora make it feel like nowhere else in Ireland. There’s nothing to do but look out the window and appreciate it.

Doolin Pier is about a kilometre from the village centre and it’s where you’d catch a ferry to the Aran Islands if that’s on your list. Worth knowing before you arrive so you can factor it into your plans rather than scrambling for information when you get there.

If you’re heading to the Cliffs of Moher the next day, the main visitor centre is about 8km south of Doolin on the R478. Most accommodation in the village can arrange local transport, or you can walk the Cliffs of Moher Coastal Walk which runs the full length between Doolin and the cliffs. It’s a well-marked trail and worth doing if the weather cooperates.

Book the return leg when you book the outbound, especially in peak summer months. Private transfers in Clare fill up quickly from June through August, and securing both ends of your journey at the same time means you’re not scrambling for transport on your last day.
