IrelandMe ("we", "us") is a local-information website covering villages, towns and counties across Ireland. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit irelandme.com, why we collect it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

We do not have user accounts and we do not ask you to submit personal details to browse the site. The only data we process is anonymous usage information:

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to measure visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser extension to opt out of Google Analytics, without affecting your ability to read the site.

Affiliate links

Some pages link to tours, tickets and experiences through partners such as Viator, GetYourGuide and Ticketmaster. If you click through and book, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. When you follow one of these links you are subject to that partner's own privacy policy and cookies. We do not receive your payment details - those go directly to the partner.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We do not run third-party advertising networks. Anonymous usage data is processed by Google (Analytics) and by our hosting provider purely to operate and improve the site.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct or erase any personal data we hold, to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie). Because we do not hold accounts or contact details, in most cases the only data relating to you is anonymous analytics that cannot be tied to your identity.
