10 Day Private Driver Tour of Ireland from Dublin - Luxury MPV XL

About This Tour

Ten days is enough time to do Ireland properly - not just the landmarks, but the pace, the conversations, the way the landscape changes as you move from one county to the next. This private tour gives you a fully licensed National Irish Tour Guide and Chauffeur, a Mercedes V-Class Luxury Line XL, and an itinerary built around what you actually want to see.

The vehicle carries up to 6 guests comfortably, with A/C, zoned climate control, Wi-Fi, water on board, elevated viewing windows, and room for all your luggage. All driver and guide expenses are included in the price - no hidden fees, no commissions collected at stops along the way.

The route covers Ireland’s iconic landmarks and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and follows the Wild Atlantic Way through some of the most dramatic coastal scenery in Europe. You’ll visit ancient castles, stone circles, cathedrals, and centuries-old distilleries, and move through over 10,000 years of history at a pace that lets you take it in rather than just tick it off. There’s live music, local markets, and the kind of warmth from local people that comes naturally when you’re travelling with someone who knows them.

Ten days also means time to slow down when somewhere grabs you. If you want to spend an extra morning in Connemara or go back to a pub you liked the night before, the itinerary has that flexibility because it’s built around you.

Local Tips

Ten days lets you include places that most tours miss entirely. The Aran Islands off the Galway coast, the Beara Peninsula in Cork and Kerry, the Inishowen Peninsula in Donegal - these are the places your guide will suggest when you ask what the crowds don’t see. They’re worth putting on the shortlist when you’re planning the route.

The Ring of Kerry is deservedly famous but can get busy in summer. If your guide suggests the Beara Peninsula as an alternative for part of the route, take them up on it. The scenery is comparable and the roads are much quieter. The Ring of Beara runs through Counties Cork and Kerry and has the same mountain-meets-sea drama without the tour bus traffic.

Connemara is genuinely different from the rest of Ireland. The light, the colour of the bog, the Irish language on the road signs - it feels like a different country. Clifden is the main town and a good base for a night. If you’re there in summer, the landscape on the Sky Road loop west of town is as good as anything on the Wild Atlantic Way.

For distillery visits, think about the whole experience rather than just the whiskey. Dingle Distillery in Kerry has an exceptional visitor experience and the location is hard to beat. Kilbeggan in Westmeath is the oldest licensed pot still distillery in the world, dating to 1757. Your guide can usually arrange a visit that goes beyond the standard tour.

Ask your guide about traditional music sessions in smaller towns. The sessions in Doolin in Clare, Killarney in Kerry, and Westport in Mayo each have their own character. Smaller venues in county towns are often even better - your guide will know where to find them on a given evening.
