The Big Bealtaine Tea Party takes place at IMMA as one of the flagship events of the Bealtaine Festival, Ireland’s national celebration of arts and ageing. Held in the magnificent grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, the event brings together music, storytelling and live performance in an intergenerational celebration that welcomes visitors of all ages.
The Bealtaine Festival runs throughout May, exploring its Lust for Life theme inspired by the Iggy Pop anthem. The Big Tea Party at IMMA is one of the most accessible and joyful events in the programme, designed to be a genuinely communal gathering that bridges generations through the shared experience of art and performance. The grounds of the Royal Hospital provide a stunning outdoor setting that transforms beautifully for the occasion.

IMMA is at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Military Road, Dublin 8. Luas Red Line to Heuston, then a 15-minute walk. Bus 13 serves the area. Free car parking available on site. The RHK grounds are also just a short walk from Kilmainham Gaol if you are combining with other sightseeing.
