At The Carrigart Hotel · Main Street, Carrigart, Co. Donegal
Carrigart Fest brings three days of live music and festival atmosphere to one of northwest Donegal’s most scenic corners. Set in a marquee beside The Carrigart Hotel on the Rosguill Peninsula, the weekend draws a crowd that is firmly adults-only (18+) and comes for the music, the craic, and the chance to stretch it out in a part of Ireland that most people only pass through on the way somewhere else. If you are already planning a few days in Donegal, this is the kind of thing that makes the timing click.
The festival runs Friday 3 July to Sunday 5 July 2026, starting at 9 pm each evening and running through to the early hours. The Carrigart Hotel marquee is the main venue - a covered space so the Atlantic weather is not a deciding factor.
The confirmed lineup covers a decent spread. Fergal Darcy and Niki Pollock headline the DJ side of things, Keith Fletcher brings live performance into the mix, and Rhythm and Sticks - a percussive entertainment act - keeps things moving on the Sunday. Bingo Loco, the high-energy bingo-rave hybrid that has been touring Ireland for several years, is on the bill for Saturday night. Food and festival drinks are served on site throughout the weekend.
Accommodation deals are available for festival-goers staying at the Carrigart Hotel itself - worth checking directly with the hotel if you want to roll out of bed rather than navigate the R258 after midnight.
Carrigart sits on the R258 coastal road, roughly 30km northeast of Letterkenny - about a 35-minute drive. From Dublin, the most direct route is the M1/N2 to Letterkenny and then north through Milford. Public transport to Carrigart is limited, so a car or a pre-booked taxi from Letterkenny is the practical option for most people. The Carrigart Hotel has on-site parking, and free parking is available at the festival.
The Rosguill Peninsula is one of the quieter stretches of the Wild Atlantic Way - Mulroy Bay on one side, open Atlantic on the other - and the Atlantic Drive around the headland is worth doing in daylight before the evening kicks off. There is more to see in Carrigart and across Co. Donegal.
