At 3Arena · North Wall Quay, Dublin 1
The Prodigy are coming back to Dublin with Carl Cox. That sentence alone should be enough, but let’s talk about it anyway. This is one of the biggest electronic music events Dublin has seen in years, and it sold out fast. If you can get your hands on resale tickets, do it.
The Prodigy have seven UK number one albums and a legacy that stretches from the early 90s rave scene to now. Firestarter, Breathe, Smack My Bitch Up, Out of Space, Omen - these tracks changed dance music forever, and they hit different in a packed arena. The live show is pure aggression and energy, a full-sensory assault that leaves you buzzing for days.
Carl Cox opens each night with a two-hour vinyl set on his legendary 3-deck setup. The man is a genre unto himself - deep house, techno, and everything in between, all mixed with the skill of someone who’s been doing this since before most of the audience was born. Getting two hours of Cox before The Prodigy even take the stage is absurd value.
The 3Arena is going to be absolutely bouncing. This is the kind of night that defines a year.
Luas Red Line to The Point stop. Dublin Bus routes 151 and 53. DART to Connolly Station is a 15-minute walk. Don’t even think about driving - the queues leaving the car park after a sold-out 3Arena gig are brutal.
