Dublin to Galway is one of Ireland’s great cross-country runs, and this private transfer makes it a comfortable one. Your driver collects you from Dublin Airport or any Dublin address, meets you with a nameplate, and gets you to Galway in around two and a half hours. No coach timetables, no shared stops - just a direct run west in a premium vehicle.
The fleet includes a Mercedes S-Class, a V-Class 7-seater, and a Toyota Alphard for larger groups. All drivers are NTA-licensed and fully insured. Your flight is monitored, so any delays don’t become your problem. Tolls and car park fees are covered in the price, and you’ve got WiFi, device chargers, bottled water, and air conditioning for the journey.
Infant and child seats are available on request. Service animals are welcome. Public transport is available nearby. Suitable for all fitness levels. Transparent pricing with no hidden fees.
This is a private tour.
Galway’s Latin Quarter is the first place worth knowing about. The streets around Quay Street, Cross Street, and Kirwan’s Lane are where the city’s food, music, and social life concentrate. It’s walkable from most city-centre accommodation and comes alive from early evening - a trad session in one of the pubs there is a proper introduction to the place.
The drive from Dublin turns properly scenic after Ballinasloe. Once you’re into east Galway, the landscape opens up and you start to get a sense of Connaught. If you’re making your first trip west, it’s a gradual reveal that works well from the back of a comfortable vehicle.
Galway city is compact by Irish standards. You can walk from Eyre Square to the Spanish Arch and back through the Saturday market in under an hour. The Corrib runs along the western edge of the centre and the Long Walk is one of the nicest stretches of urban riverside in the country.
Parking in Galway city centre is limited and can be expensive. Being dropped directly at your accommodation or a city-centre hotel removes that headache entirely, which is one of the practical wins of booking a private transfer rather than a rental car if you’re staying in the city.
