Dublin Airport To Waterford City Private Luxury Car Transfer

About This Tour

Your chauffeur is waiting in the arrivals terminal when you come through from baggage claim. They take care of the luggage, get you settled into the car, and drive you south to Waterford over a comfortable two-hour journey. The vehicle is exclusively yours throughout - WiFi, bottled water, and all fees and taxes are included, so there’s nothing to sort out on arrival.

If you need the return journey as well, you book the same transfer for your return date and give them your pick-up time, pick-up location, and drop-off point when you do.

Waterford is Ireland’s oldest city - Viking-founded in 914 AD, which gives it more than a thousand years of layered history to show for itself. The Medieval Museum in the Viking Triangle holds two of the finest medieval artefacts in the country: the Great Charter Roll of Waterford and the cloth-of-gold Vestments of the Order of the Garter. The city’s waterfront has been significantly redeveloped in recent years, with the Greenway - a 46-kilometre off-road cycling and walking trail along the old railway line - starting from the quays.

Local Tips

The Waterford Greenway starts right from the city quays. If you’re planning to cycle or walk any of it, you can rent bikes in Waterford city centre and head straight out from the drop-off point. The full 46 kilometres runs to Dungarvan through river valleys and a long viaduct over the Waterford estuary.

Waterford’s Viking Triangle is a compact historic quarter. The Medieval Museum, Reginald’s Tower (the oldest urban civic building in Ireland, built in 1003), and the Bishop’s Palace all cluster within a short walk of each other. The combined ticket is good value if you’re planning to spend a few hours there.

The Waterford Crystal visitor experience is worth booking ahead. The factory tour shows the full glassblowing and cutting process from start to finish. It’s on the Mall in the city centre and runs multiple daily tours; the early-morning slots are generally quieter.

Give your driver your exact Waterford address. The city centre has a quayside layout that’s easy to navigate on foot but can be confusing to approach by car for the first time. Knowing the street name and landmark in advance lets your driver take you straight to the door.
