About This Transfer

Drogheda to Belfast City Airport is roughly 90 minutes on the road, and this transfer takes the stress out of every minute of it. Your driver comes to you — to the hotel reception or the private address you book with — so there’s no hunting for a taxi rank or dragging bags to a bus stop.

Up to 6 passengers travel together in a premium car or minivan. All the extras are already in the price: taxes, VAT, parking, tolls, and gratuities. What you see is what you pay.

Your driver meets you at the hotel reception or at the private address you provide when booking. Just let them know where you’ll be.

If you can’t find your driver on the day, contact the assistance centre. The driver will wait up to 60 minutes after the effective landing time. This is a private tour, suitable for all fitness levels. Price is per person.

Local Tips

Drogheda is worth more than a quick look. If you have time before your pickup, the town sits on the River Boyne and has a genuine medieval core. The Millmount Museum is small but full of local character, and the views from the Millmount mound itself are well worth the short climb.

The road north crosses into County Louth and then into Northern Ireland. You’ll pass through some quietly beautiful countryside once you’re clear of the motorway. It’s a smooth, well-maintained route, so there’s no reason to rush — book your pickup with a comfortable buffer before your flight time.

Belfast City Airport (BHD) is compact and quick to move through. It’s much closer to the city centre than George Best Belfast City Airport’s reputation might suggest. Security queues tend to be shorter than Dublin, but early morning flights do get busy, so plan accordingly.

Currency changes at the border. Northern Ireland uses sterling (GBP), not euro. If you need cash for anything on the Belfast side, it’s worth sorting before you leave Drogheda or using a card that doesn’t charge foreign transaction fees.

The driver waits up to 60 minutes after your scheduled pickup time. If you’re running behind, contact the assistance centre rather than rushing. They’ll sort it.
