Dublin Airport to Donegal Town Premium Car Service

About

Donegal Town is a solid three hours from Dublin Airport - enough of a journey that it’s worth doing comfortably. DM Executive Line covers the run in a Mercedes-Benz with a certified professional chauffeur, and they’ve sorted the details that matter: your flight is tracked in real time so the pickup adjusts if you land early or late, the price is fixed the moment you book, and there’s 60 minutes of complimentary waiting time built in for city-to-city transfers.

Your chauffeur handles door-to-door transport, meeting you at your hotel reception rather than leaving you to find the car.

Local Tips

Donegal Town is smaller than people expect. It’s a working market town built around The Diamond - a central square - with the ruins of a 15th-century Franciscan friary at the quayside. The friary is a five-minute walk from most of the town’s accommodation and often has the place entirely to itself outside of summer.

Donegal Bay opens up west of the town and the coastal scenery from here north towards Killybegs and Ardara is some of the finest in the county. Killybegs, about 30 minutes west, is one of Ireland’s largest fishing ports and worth a look if you want to see a genuinely working harbour rather than a prettified one.

The Sliabh Liag sea cliffs are about an hour’s drive from the town. They’re among the highest accessible sea cliffs in Europe and, despite their scale, you can walk right to the edge on a well-maintained path. Go on a clear day if you can - the views across the bay to Sligo and Mayo are extraordinary.

Donegal tweed is still made locally. If you’re interested in picking up something genuinely local, the town has shops stocking the real thing - woven in the county, not imported and relabelled. Magee of Donegal on The Diamond has been trading since 1866 and is the best-known name.
