Your chauffeur will be standing in the arrivals hall with a name card when you come through. The team tracks your flight electronically, so the pickup is timed to when you actually land - not just when you were supposed to. If your bags take a while or the queue at passport control is slow, that’s fine. There’s a full hour of complimentary waiting time built in.

You travel in a Mercedes MPV or Chrysler Voyager Executive Class, which comfortably takes up to 6 passengers with luggage. All fees, taxes and tolls are covered, and the vehicle and chauffeur are fully licensed under the Irish Government Transport Authority.

Local Tips

Castle Leslie Estate is in Glaslough, a small village in County Monaghan about an hour north of Dublin. The route from the airport is straightforward - mostly motorway up the M1, then a short run west into Monaghan. It’s one of the shorter transfers in this part of Ireland, which means you can have a relatively early flight and still be checking in at the estate before lunch.

The estate itself spans around 1,000 acres of lakes, woodland, and parkland on the Irish border. It’s been in the Leslie family since the 17th century and still has that sense of slightly faded grandeur that good Irish country houses do better than anywhere else. The equestrian centre is one of the main draws - it’s well regarded and takes all levels, from complete beginners to people who know what they’re doing.

Glaslough village is tiny, so don’t arrive expecting a busy town. The estate has its own bar and restaurant, and that’s really where you’ll be spending most of your time. If you want to explore further, Monaghan town is about 15 minutes away and has a reasonable selection of cafes and shops. Clones, a historic market town, is a similar distance in the other direction.

Northern Ireland is just a few minutes’ drive from the estate, and the border is completely open - no checks, no stopping. If you fancy a short drive into Fermanagh to see Lough Erne or Enniskillen, it’s very easy from here. Having a car on site is useful for day trips, but if you’re happy staying on the estate grounds there’s plenty to keep you occupied without ever leaving.
