Dublin Cruise Ship Port To Dublin City Private Shore Full Day Excursion Tour

About This Tour

When your ship docks at Dublin port, the clock is already ticking. A private excursion takes the stress out of it - your chauffeur meets you at the port, the vehicle is right there, and you spend the day seeing Dublin rather than working out how to get to it.

This is a 6 to 8 hour private excursion in a comfortable, air-conditioned Mercedes Benz V Class MPV. The V Class is a generous vehicle with proper space for your group - nobody’s squeezed in or sitting sideways. All tolls and taxes are included, WiFi is on board, and there’s bottled water waiting for you. The chauffeur and vehicle are fully licensed and insured under the Irish Government Transport Authority.

Because it’s private, the day moves at whatever pace you want. If you want to spend longer somewhere, you can. If you’d rather skip a stop and add another, that conversation is easy. Your chauffeur knows Dublin well and is happy to answer questions, offer suggestions, or simply let you enjoy the city without a commentary.

Local Tips

Six to eight hours goes quickly in Dublin, so it’s worth having a rough sense of what matters most to you before the day starts. The city centre is compact and walkable, which means a good chauffeur can get you between most of the main stops without eating too much time in the vehicle.

Talk to your chauffeur at the start of the day about what you’d like to prioritise. They’ll know which attractions have queues at which times, and can often suggest a sequence that makes the whole day flow more smoothly than working through a list in the obvious order.

If the ship is docked for a full day, you’ll have time for both the Georgian south side - Trinity, Merrion Square, the National Museum - and the more neighbourhood feel of the Liberties area around Christ Church and Kilmainham. The two halves of the city feel quite different from each other.

Lunch is not included, but Dublin has good options at every price point. Depending on where you are in the city at midday, your chauffeur can point you toward something local rather than something convenient.

Dublin port is about 2 km from the city centre, so you’re not losing much time getting in and out. The chauffeur will keep track of your ship’s departure time and make sure you’re back at the port with a comfortable margin.
