About This Tour

You get a full 60 minutes of complimentary waiting time at the airport - or 15 minutes if the pickup is from a hotel. Baby and child seats are available, and the whole thing is just your group: no shared shuttles, no other passengers.

Local Tips

Adare Manor sits in the village of Adare in County Limerick, which regularly features on lists of Ireland’s prettiest villages - the thatched cottages along the main street are the real thing, not a reconstruction, and the estate grounds run right along the River Maigue.

The drive from Dublin takes you through the midlands, which gets unfairly overlooked. Keep an eye out as you come south through Tipperary - the landscape opens up into good farming country, and on a clear day you’ll catch glimpses of the Galtee Mountains to the east.

If you’re arriving for a stay at Adare Manor, it’s worth knowing that the village itself has a handful of excellent restaurants and pubs worth exploring beyond the estate. The Dunraven Arms has been a local institution for over two centuries and is worth a visit even if you’re not staying there.

County Limerick is easy to underestimate as a base. The city of Limerick is about 16 km from Adare, and the wider county has a lot going on - from the Lough Gur stone circle (one of Ireland’s most significant prehistoric sites) to Lough Derg on the Shannon if you want water and quiet.

The road between Dublin and Limerick is one of Ireland’s better motorway routes, which makes for a comfortable journey. Your driver will handle the navigation, so you’re free to watch the countryside change or catch up on rest if the flight was early.
