Most people come back from Dublin with phone snaps that don’t do the city justice. This two-hour private session pairs you with a professional photographer who knows Dublin’s streets and knows how to make people look natural in them - no awkward posing, no recruiting strangers to hold your phone, just good portraits that actually capture where you were.
The session moves through some of Dublin’s most photogenic locations: the cobbled lanes of Temple Bar, the white cast-iron arc of Ha’penny Bridge over the River Liffey, the Georgian courtyards of Trinity College, the open green spaces of St. Stephen’s Green, and the historic Upper Castle Yard at Dublin Castle. At each spot your photographer reads the light and finds the angles that work, guiding you into natural positions that feel like genuine moments rather than stiff tourist portraits.
After the shoot, you’ll receive a polished digital gallery of professionally edited, high-resolution images. Depending on the package you choose, that’s between 15 and 60 photos, all delivered within five business days.
Early morning is when Temple Bar earns its reputation. The cobblestones are quiet before 9am - no delivery trucks, no crowds, just the coloured shopfronts and the curve of the lane. Your photographer will factor this in, but if you have a preference for quieter streets, mention it when you book.
Dublin’s overcast light is genuinely a photographer’s friend. The soft, diffused quality you get on a grey day - which is most days in Dublin, honestly - is flattering, even, and far easier to work with than harsh midday sun. Don’t reschedule because of a cloudy forecast.
Ha’penny Bridge looks different depending on where you stand. The most-photographed view is from the bridge itself, but the shot many visitors miss is from Wellington Quay on the south side, looking back across the Liffey at the full elegant arch of the bridge. Your photographer will know it.
Dublin Castle’s Upper Castle Yard is a strong backdrop. The formal Georgian facades and the Bedford Tower give you clean, historic lines. Note that the State Apartments are closed to the public throughout 2026 while the castle hosts Ireland’s EU Council Presidency, but the courtyards remain open and are worth the short walk.
Think about what you want from your gallery before choosing a package. The 15-photo option gives you a tight, curated selection of the best shots. The 60-photo option spans more locations and tells more of the story - worth it if you’re marking a special occasion like an anniversary, an engagement trip, or a first visit to Ireland.
