Dublin: Private Photoshoot for Couples

About This Experience

Put the selfie stick away. This is an hour with your own professional wedding and lifestyle photographer, exploring Dublin together and coming away with photos that actually do the city - and the two of you - justice.

You’ll meet your photographer in the city centre and move through some of Dublin’s most scenic spots together: the Ha’penny Bridge, the streets around Temple Bar, the River Liffey, and Dublin Castle (when open). If you’d prefer something wilder, there’s also the option to shoot at the Howth cliffs or in the Wicklow Mountains for an additional fee. If you have a particular location in mind, just ask.

It’s worth bringing a change of clothes so you have options for different looks throughout the session. Within 3 to 5 days of the shoot, you’ll receive a link to your online gallery to view, share, and download the final photos. The shoot includes 25 edited photos, with additional photos available to purchase at €5 each.

Local Tips

The Ha’penny Bridge is busiest mid-morning and mid-afternoon. If you want shots on the bridge without a crowd streaming through the frame, aim for early morning or the quieter pockets of the day - your photographer will know when foot traffic eases off and can suggest the best window for your session time.

Dublin Castle’s Upper and Lower Courtyards are worth lingering in. The mix of medieval stonework and Georgian facades in the castle complex gives you two very different backdrops within a few metres of each other. It’s one of those spots that rewards couples who want some variety in their shots without covering a lot of ground.

Talk to your photographer beforehand about what feels natural to you both. Some couples are comfortable being directed into posed shots; others find it easier to just walk and talk while the photographer moves around them. Either approach works - the important thing is that your photographer knows which you’d prefer so they can set the right tone from the start.

If you’re considering Howth as your location, add a bit of extra travel time. Howth is about 40 minutes from Dublin city centre by DART, and it’s genuinely worth the trip - the cliff walk views are spectacular and very different from anything in the city. Just factor the journey into your plans so you’re not rushing to the meeting point.
