A straightforward private transfer from your accommodation in Dublin to Dublin Airport (DUB). Your driver picks you up at the door, helps with the luggage, and gets you to the airport in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. All fees and taxes are included, and there’s 15 minutes of free waiting time built in so nobody’s rushing.
The journey takes around 30 minutes in normal traffic.
Meeting point: You’ll be collected directly from your accommodation in the city.
Allow more time than you think you need. The journey from the city centre to the airport is around 30 minutes in clear traffic, but Dublin traffic during peak hours can stretch that significantly. Most experienced travellers allow 90 minutes to two hours before their flight time when travelling from the city, particularly on weekday mornings.
The 15 minutes of free waiting time is a genuine cushion. If you’re running a little behind getting bags to the door, your driver won’t be clocking it against you for the first quarter hour. That said, it’s still worth being ready at the agreed time - especially if you’re travelling in busy traffic periods.
Both terminals at Dublin Airport are served. Terminal 1 handles most Aer Lingus and Ryanair departures; Terminal 2 is mainly used for transatlantic and international long-haul flights. Double-check your departure terminal before your driver picks you up so you can tell them where to drop you.
Child seats and pet travel need to be arranged in advance. Both are available for an additional €10, but you need to request them at the time of booking. It’s not something that can be sorted on the day.
If you’re travelling with oversized luggage - golf bags, pushchairs, musical instruments - mention it when you book. Different vehicles handle different amounts and types of luggage, and it’s much easier to get the right vehicle assigned before anyone shows up at your door.
