After a long flight, the last thing you want is to join the taxi queue and then squeeze into a shared shuttle with strangers. This private transfer takes you directly from Dublin Airport to Dún Laoghaire Cruise Port - door to door, about 50 minutes, in a clean air-conditioned car with a professional driver waiting when you land.
Your driver tracks your flight, so a delay won’t leave you stranded. They’ll meet you with a nameplate and take you straight to the port with no hidden charges along the way.
Infant and child seats are available on request. Infants and small children can also travel in a pram or stroller. Service animals are welcome. Public transport is available nearby if plans change. Suitable for all fitness levels.
This is a private tour.
Dún Laoghaire is worth arriving early for if your schedule allows. The harbour front has a long East Pier that locals walk religiously in all weathers - it’s a proper ritual, especially on Sunday mornings. You can walk the full length out to the lighthouse and back, get some sea air into you, and feel significantly more human before you board.
The town has a good range of restaurants and cafes within a short walk of the port. Anywhere along the main drag will do you well for breakfast or lunch. If you want something more substantial before a crossing, the area around George’s Street has reliable options and won’t require you to go far with bags in tow.
If you have time before your departure, the National Maritime Museum of Ireland is right in the town and gives you a good sense of Ireland’s seafaring history in a compact, well-curated space. It’s housed in a beautiful old Mariners’ Church and is often quieter than you’d expect.
The DART coastal rail line runs through Dún Laoghaire and connects it to Dublin city centre in about 25 minutes if any of your group needs to make a last-minute detour before boarding. It’s handy to know about if plans shift at short notice.
