About This Tour

All drivers are licensed by the National Transport Authority (NTA) and fully insured. Your flight is monitored, so a delay won’t catch anyone off guard. Local Tips

Adare itself is worth a slow walk. The village of Adare is one of the most photographed in Ireland - its thatched-roof cottages along the main street were largely built by the Earl of Dunraven in the 19th century as estate housing. The village sits on the River Maigue and has a handful of excellent restaurants and craft shops if you want to stretch your legs after the drive before checking in.

Adare Manor has a storied golf course. The Manor hosted the 2027 Ryder Cup, and the Tom Fazio-designed course on the estate is considered one of the finest parkland courses in Europe. If golf is part of your trip, it’s worth knowing that tee times at the Manor can book out well in advance - getting that sorted before you travel saves disappointment.

Limerick city is 20 minutes away. People often overlook Limerick when visiting the region, but it’s well worth a half-day. The Hunt Museum houses an impressive private art collection including works by Picasso and Renoir, King John’s Castle sits right on the River Shannon, and the food scene along the quays has improved dramatically in recent years. Your driver can advise on timing if you want to include a stop on the way.

Heading further west? Adare is well placed if you’re planning to continue to the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren in Co. Clare, or into Kerry. The roads from Limerick out to the Wild Atlantic Way are straightforward and well signposted - a useful base if you want to see more of Munster at a relaxed pace.
