You’ve landed at Dublin Airport and Longford is calling - whether it’s Lough Ree on the Shannon, the market town itself, or a quiet corner of the county you’ve been looking forward to all year. This private transfer gets you there directly. No shared shuttles making detours through half of Leinster, no waiting around for strangers to collect their bags. You pick the vehicle size that fits your group and your luggage, your driver meets you at arrivals, and two hours later you’re at your door.
Suitable for all fitness levels. This is a private tour.

Longford town is smaller than it looks on a map, and that’s part of the charm. The main street has everything you’d need - good spots for a feed, a few solid pubs, and people who’ll actually stop for a chat. If you’re arriving in the evening, the Rustic Inn or a similar local spot will sort you out without any fuss.
Lough Ree is the big draw for visitors who want water and quiet. It’s one of the larger lakes on the Shannon system, with a scattering of islands and some genuinely good coarse fishing. Lanesborough and Ballyleague sit at the southern end of the lake and are worth a wander if you have a morning free.
If you’re heading to Granard or the north of the county, keep an eye out for the motte at the top of the hill - it’s an old Norman fortification with a view that takes in a big sweep of the midlands on a clear day. Easy to miss if nobody mentions it.
Longford is well placed for exploring the broader Shannon-Erne Waterway. The blueway connects Leitrim through Longford and down into Roscommon, so if you’ve any interest in kayaking, cycling the towpaths, or simply watching the boats pass, you can do a fair bit of that without going far from the county at all.
