What to Expect

The Diocese of Down and Connor’s annual pilgrimage to Lourdes is a major faith event for Catholic communities across County Antrim and the wider diocese. Pilgrims travel on direct charter flights from Belfast to Lourdes Airport and are accompanied by diocesan priests, volunteers, and healthcare staff. The pilgrimage focuses on prayer, the sacraments, and caring for sick and elderly pilgrims. Full-board accommodation in Lourdes is included, and pilgrims take part in the processions and liturgies at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. The 2026 pilgrimage runs from 8th/9th July to 14th/15th July, with both 5-night and 7-night options.

  • Package includes: direct flights from Belfast (1 x 20kg check-in bag + cabin bag), airport transfers, courier services, and 5 or 7 nights full-board accommodation.

  • A non-refundable deposit of GBP 300 per person is required on booking; balance was due by 14 May 2026.

  • A local government tax of approximately EUR 3.60 per person per night is payable directly at the hotel.

Getting There

Flights depart from Belfast International Airport, Aldergrove, which is 18 miles from Belfast city centre. Bus Eireann and Translink services connect the airport to Belfast and towns across Antrim.
