Ashes to Fashion - Ulster Museum Fashion and Textile Exhibition

At Ulster Museum · Botanic Gardens, Belfast, BT9 5AB

Ashes to Fashion fashion and textile exhibition at Ulster Museum Belfast

What to Expect

Ashes to Fashion is the Ulster Museum’s first major fashion and textile exhibition in 15 years, marking 50 years of the museum’s fashion collecting. The exhibition features around 120 objects, including the sole surviving piece from a devastating 1976 fire - the Lennox Quilt, an exquisite 18th-century embroidered quilt. Works by internationally recognised designers including Alexander McQueen, Carolina Herrera, JW Anderson, and the late Paul Costelloe are on display alongside pieces tracing the history of Ulster’s textile heritage.
