Belfast TradFest Summer School of Traditional Music 2026

What to Expect

The Belfast TradFest Summer School of Traditional Music runs in parallel with the main TradFest festival from 26 July to 2 August 2026. The summer school attracted over 900 students in 2025 and offers hands-on tuition in a wide range of traditional instruments, singing and dance for participants of all ages and abilities. Students can attend workshops taught by leading traditional musicians during the day, with evening sessions and céilís providing informal performance and social opportunities. The summer school is a major community music learning event in the northern Irish calendar.
