What to Expect

The Kilrush Traditional Music and Set Dancing Festival is an annual celebration organised by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann’s Inis Cathaigh branch. The 2026 festival runs from Saturday 1 to Monday 3 August, with open-air ceilis in Kilrush Square on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday evenings. Pub sessions take place throughout the town each night, alongside a singers’ club, sean nos and set dancing workshops, and daytime music events. The festival is one of the West Clare calendar’s highlights and runs late into the evenings.
