At Burt GAA grounds · Burt, Co. Donegal
Donegal’s entry-level ladies football grade, the LGFA Junior B Championship, plays a group-stage round on 9 August 2026. Burt host Milford at their home grounds, one of three Junior B Championship fixtures taking place across the county that day.
Junior B sits at the base of Donegal’s ladies football pyramid, often fielding club second teams alongside standalone junior sides, and gives newer or smaller clubs a competitive outlet. Alongside the Burt fixture, Red Hughs (Killygordon) host Naomh Adhamhnáin/St Eunan’s 2nds at Monellan Park, and An Clochán Liath 2nds (Dungloe) host Aodh Ruadh Ballyshannon 2nds at home. All three are round-robin group games in a competition that builds towards a knockout stage later in the championship, with promotion to Junior A on offer for the strongest sides. It is a low-key, welcoming grade, and a good introduction for anyone new to watching Gaelic games in the county.
Burt is just off the N13 close to Bridgend, roughly 15 minutes from Letterkenny and within easy reach of Derry via the same road, with parking available at the grounds on match days. Killygordon lies further south on the N15/R236 corridor, while Dungloe sits on the west coast via the N56, so the three Junior B venues on this particular Sunday are spread across most of the county.
