Donegal Senior B Football Championship 2026

The Donegal Senior B Football Championship, a second-string senior competition for clubs not competing at top senior level, plays a full round of group games on 9 August 2026. Ardara host CLG Chill Chartha (Kilcar) at Ard an Ratha, one of four Senior B fixtures on the day.

What to Expect

Senior B gives clubs outside the top-tier Senior Championship a competitive senior-grade outlet, and the standard is a notch below the county’s flagship competition but still keenly contested, with several of these clubs having held senior status in previous seasons. On the same afternoon, Gleann Fhinne (Glenfin) host Naomh Columba at Pairc Taobhoige, An Clochán Liath (Dungloe) host Sean Mac Cumhaill (Ballybofey) at home, and Four Masters host CLG Na Cealla Beaga (Killybegs) at Tir Conaill Park. All four are round-robin group games feeding into the knockout rounds of the championship.

Getting There

Ardara sits on the N56 in south-west Donegal, roughly 30 minutes from Donegal town and around 45 minutes from Glenties. Pitch-side parking is available at Ard an Ratha on match days, and the village centre, with its usual weekend traffic, is a short walk from the grounds. The other Senior B venues at Glenfin, Dungloe and Donegal town are all reachable via the N56 and N15 network.
