At Glaslough Village (meeting at Famine Monument) · Glaslough, Co. Monaghan
Guided walks of Glaslough village every Friday and Saturday at 4pm from June through August. The 2km route starts at the Famine Monument and finishes at Saint Salvator’s Church, passing through the historic village and into the Castle Leslie estate.
The trail covers the story of the Leslie family, the village’s role as an agricultural market town, the importance of the railway to rural communities, burial practices, and the contrast between life upstairs and downstairs in a great house.
