What to Expect

Illaunmanagh parkrun is a free weekly 5km event on the shores of the Shannon Estuary in Shannon, Co. Clare. The flat out-and-back course follows tarmac and trail paths through woodlands and past river wetlands full of birdlife. Runners, joggers, walkers and volunteers are all welcome every Saturday at 9:30am.

  • Every Saturday at 9:30am, year-round.
  • Free to participate - register once at parkrun.ie before your first event.
  • Start area is at Slattery Park beside St Senan’s Rugby Club, Tullyvarraga, Shannon.
  • Post-parkrun coffee at Tea and Tones Cafe, Wolfe Tones GAA Club, Shannon.

Getting There

Bus 343 from Ennis to Shannon stops at Cronan Gardens. Ample parking available at St Senan’s Rugby Club, Slattery Park. Walk west on Tullyvarraga Drive past St Conaire’s School, turn left at the crossroads onto Gleann Na Smol.
