Letterkenny Rovers Home Fixture - Leckview Park

At Leckview Park · Leckview Park, Canal Street, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal F92 CR20

Letterkenny Rovers home match at Leckview Park

What to Expect

Letterkenny Rovers open their first-ever FAI National League campaign away to Salthill Devon on 29 August, then play their first home game of the new competition on Saturday 5 September, hosting Mayo at Leckview Park at 4:00pm. The National League is a new third tier launched for 2026 with 15 founding clubs in three groups of five, playing home and away over ten rounds before semi-finals and a November final; it is designed as a bridge competition ahead of a fully restructured league from 2027. For Letterkenny Rovers, a club that already runs a full underage structure through its Junior Rovers section, it is a chance to test the senior side at a national level rather than in regional Ulster football. Leckview Park sits on the banks of the River Swilly, a ground well known locally for junior and underage fixtures as well as the senior team’s home games. Mayo’s trip across to Donegal for this fixture is one of the longer away days in the group, a reminder that the new league pulls clubs together from right across the country rather than grouping them by geography the way regional leagues normally do.

Good to Know

  • Saturday 5 September 2026, kick-off 4:00pm, at Leckview Park, Canal Street, Letterkenny.
  • Full address: Leckview Park, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, F92 CR20.
  • Admission is on the gate; check letterkennyroversfc.ie for matchday updates and the rest of the home schedule through October.
  • Letterkenny Rovers’ opening fixture, away to Salthill Devon on 29 August, kicks off the club’s National League campaign a week before this first home date.
  • Fellow Donegal clubs Bonagee United and Cockhill Celtic are also competing in the new league, so there is a Donegal derby to watch for on the fixture list as the season goes on.
