Lets Go Kids Camps - Limerick

At Mary Immaculate College · Tailteann Hall, Mary Immaculate College, Limerick, Co. Limerick

Lets Go Kids Camps sports activities

Lets Go Kids Camps has been running multi-activity summer camps across Ireland for over 35 years, and the Limerick sessions at Mary Immaculate College are a well-established fixture on the school-holiday calendar. If you have children aged 5 to 12 who need something more energetic than screen time, this is a full week of structured outdoor and indoor sport, run by qualified coaches in a proper college sports setting. It is the kind of camp where kids come home tired in the best possible way.

What to expect

The camp runs Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 3:30pm, which covers most of a working day and gives children a genuine programme rather than a few hours of running around. Two separate activity streams keep age groups appropriate - the 5 to 6 year olds get games, ball sports, and lighter team challenges, while the 7 to 12 year olds move through a rotating roster that includes archery, river kayaking, zip lining, water polo, basketball, and football. The mix means children are rarely doing the same thing twice in a row, and the format suits kids who are confident in one sport but curious about others.

The venue is Mary Immaculate College’s Tailteann Sports Complex, which opened in 2007 and won the Royal Irish Architecture Award for Best Leisure Building in 2008. It includes three sports halls - the largest running to 900 square metres - a full weights area, changing rooms, and outdoor GAA and Astroturf pitches. It is a proper facility, not a school yard, and that shows in what Lets Go can offer on site.

Two July sessions are available: 6 to 10 July and 27 to 31 July 2026. Pricing is tiered by number of children: €132 for a first child, €117 for a second, and €102 for a third. A 20 per cent discount applies when additional weeks are booked at the same time, which makes it worth planning ahead if you have the summer to fill.

Getting there

Mary Immaculate College sits on South Circular Road in Limerick city, about 1.5 kilometres south of the city centre. By car from Dublin, take the M7 motorway all the way into Limerick and follow signs for the city centre, then head south on South Circular Road - the journey from Dublin takes around two hours. From Cork, it is roughly 1 hour 20 minutes via the N20 and M20. Bus Eireann and Expressway routes serve Limerick from most major towns, with Colbert Station in the city centre roughly 20 minutes on foot or a short taxi ride from the college. Campus parking is available for drop-off and collection.

While you’re in Limerick

Limerick city has an old town worth a look - King John’s Castle on the riverbank is one of the best-preserved Norman castles in Ireland, and the Hunt Museum holds a surprisingly strong collection for a city of its size. There is more to see in Limerick and across Co. Limerick.
