Lough Derg Pilgrim Path Walk

What to Expect

A guided walk and prayer experience on the historic Lough Derg Pilgrim Path. Participants choose between an 8km walk (approximately 3-4 hours) or a 12km walk (approximately 5 hours). Accompanied by a member of the Lough Derg team, pilgrims walk and pray together while experiencing the spiritual significance of the ancient pilgrim route with views of Saints Island and Station Island.

Good to Know

Two groups with staggered start times on Sunday, August 30, 2026. Numbers are limited - pre-booking is essential. Wear good walking shoes or boots and bring weather-appropriate clothing as conditions can change quickly at Lough Derg. No experience necessary.

Getting There

Located at Lough Derg near Pettigo on the Donegal-Fermanagh border. Car parking available at the Lough Derg visitor area. Meet at designated starting point for guided walk.
