Milford Care Centre’s Coffee Morning, the Limerick arm of Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice, falls on Thursday, 24 September 2026, with hosts putting on their own gatherings across homes, workplaces, schools and community centres throughout Limerick, Clare and North Tipperary. The fundraiser has run for more than three decades and directly supports the specialist palliative care Milford provides across the Mid-West.
Rather than one single gathering, the Coffee Morning works as a network of small, locally hosted events on and around the same date, all raising money for the same cause. Anyone can register to host, and Milford Care Centre supplies a pack with posters, invitations, a collection box and tent cards to help set up on the day. Hosts are free to hold a morning coffee, an afternoon tea or an evening get-together, whatever suits their own group, with the only requirement being that proceeds go back to hospice care. Milford’s fundraising team, based at the Centre in Castletroy, coordinates the campaign for the region, collects the proceeds afterwards and keeps a running total of what the Mid-West has raised.
