What to Expect

Voivod are one of the most important bands in progressive and thrash metal. The Canadian quartet have been making technically complex, science-fiction-infused metal since the early 1980s and have influenced an enormous range of artists across multiple genres. Their live shows are precise and powerful, delivering music that rewards the listener who pays attention and hits the rest of the room regardless.

Midnight are the Cleveland black metal and rock and roll act whose mix of Motorhead-inspired aggression and black metal aesthetics has earned them a cult following. The combination of the two acts makes for a double bill with real range, both heavy, both serious about their craft, and both performing at Whelan’s on 16 June 2026.
