K Club Straffan to Adare Manor Private Car Service

About This Tour

This private chauffeur transfer takes you from the K Club in Straffan, County Kildare, down to Adare Manor in County Limerick. It’s a journey of around three hours, and DM Executive Line handles the whole thing from the moment your driver meets you at reception.

The car is a Mercedes-Benz, fully air-conditioned and equipped with onboard WiFi, bottled water and mobile device chargers. Your certified driver knows the roads well and gives you a proper meet-and-greet at hotel pick-up, so the start of the journey is as smooth as the rest of it. There’s a 15-minute complimentary waiting time included at pick-up, giving you a bit of flexibility if check-out runs slightly long.

The K Club is one of Ireland’s most celebrated golf and hospitality estates, sitting along the River Liffey in Kildare. Adare Manor, at the other end, is a gothic revival castle on the banks of the River Maigue in one of Ireland’s prettiest villages. Getting between the two in your own private car, with no decisions to make except which playlist to put on, is a genuinely comfortable way to travel.

Local Tips

Adare village is worth a slow walk if you arrive with time to spare. The village itself, a short distance from the manor, has thatched cottages, a good craft shop or two, and a pace to it that makes you want to slow down. If you’re arriving mid-afternoon, ask your chauffeur to drop you in the village centre before going to the manor so you can take it in before settling in.

The road from Kildare into Limerick is straightforward but scenic in patches. Your driver will know the fastest route, but if you’re in no hurry and the weather is cooperating, mention that you’re happy to take a slightly longer road through the countryside. DM Executive Line’s drivers are local, and a local recommendation on the route goes a long way.

Specialised infant seats are available, but you need to request them in advance. This isn’t always clearly flagged when booking luxury transfers, so if you’re travelling with a baby or small child, confirm the seat type you need when you make your booking rather than on the day.

Luggage capacity is the same as a standard saloon car. The vehicle fits 2 carry-on bags and 2 checked suitcases, or 3 medium-sized suitcases. If you’re moving between two hotel stays with a full complement of golf bags or extra luggage, get in touch before booking to check what’s possible.

Gratuities are customary but not mandatory. Your driver is handling luggage, coordinating timings, and making sure everything runs smoothly door-to-door. A tip at the end of the journey is always appreciated and very much at your discretion.
