Dublin Airport Private Transfer to Dingle Kerry

About This Tour

The drive from Dublin Airport to Dingle runs four to five hours, and this one is different from the moment you spot your driver at arrivals. Your chauffeur is a qualified Irish Tourist Guide, which means the journey itself becomes something worth paying attention to. As you move through the Irish midlands and down into Kerry, you’ll hear the kind of local history, place names, and social context that takes years to accumulate - not a rehearsed script, but a proper conversation.

You can pick up from Dublin Airport or anywhere in the greater Dublin area, and the service works in reverse too: if you need a transfer from Dingle to Shannon Airport, that’s bookable.

Meeting point: Your chauffeur meets you at Dublin Airport or at your address in the greater Dublin area.

Local Tips

Get your bearings on the Dingle Peninsula before you arrive. The peninsula is compact but packs in a lot - the Slea Head Drive alone takes most of a day if you stop properly. Ask your driver-guide which way they’d suggest looping it based on the time of year and weather when you’re there. Local knowledge on that makes a genuine difference to what you see.

Murphy’s Ice Cream on Strand Street is the real thing. Made on-site with Dingle dairy, the sea salt flavour in particular has a following. If you’re in town on a fine afternoon, the queue moves quickly and it’s worth joining. Your driver will know where to park nearby.

Dingle town is small but it takes an evening to appreciate. The pubs are sociable rather than touristy, and trad music sessions happen most nights in season - ask at your accommodation which pubs have the best music that week rather than going by signage alone. Dick Mack’s and An Droichead Beag are both reliable, but it depends on the night.

If you’re planning day trips out of Dingle, the boat trip to the Blasket Islands runs from Dunquin Pier. Spaces are limited, especially in peak summer, so book ahead rather than showing up. The Great Blasket was permanently evacuated in 1953 and the remains of the island village are still visible - it’s one of the more quietly moving places on the peninsula.
