Dublin to Parknasilla Resort & Spa Sneem Co Kerry Luxury Private Car Transfer

About

Your professional chauffeur meets you at Dublin Airport arrivals or at your Dublin City address, takes care of the luggage, and drives you directly to Parknasilla Resort and Spa in Sneem, County Kerry. Door-to-door, private, conducted in English - you arrive relaxed rather than road-weary.

Sneem is tucked into the south side of the Iveragh Peninsula, where the mountains come down to meet the sea. Parknasilla itself sits within a 500-acre wooded estate on the Kenmare River estuary. The drive down from Dublin takes you through some of Kerry’s better scenery in the final stretch.

For the return trip, book the same transfer and let the operator know your pick-up time, location, and drop-off details.

Local Tips

Sneem village is worth ten minutes on your way through. It’s a two-square village with painted houses on either side of the Sneem River, and it has the kind of low-key charm that makes it popular with people doing the Ring of Kerry. There are a couple of pubs and a good deli if you want to pick up something before arriving at the resort.

The Kenmare River estuary from the Parknasilla grounds is one of Kerry’s better views at low tide. The tidal flats and islands that appear when the water recedes attract waders and herons, and the light in the late afternoon tends to be particularly good. If you’re staying overnight, it’s worth walking the estate paths before dinner.

Kenmare town is about 25 minutes from Parknasilla by car. It’s a well-set-up market town with a good range of restaurants and independent shops, and it sits at the junction of the Ring of Kerry and the Beara Peninsula routes. If you’re spending more than one night in the area, Kenmare makes a solid base for day drives in either direction.

The Gap of Dunloe is roughly an hour north of Sneem. It’s a narrow mountain pass through the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks with a series of small lakes running through the valley floor. You can drive the pass, though it’s extremely narrow in places and better done early in the morning before the jarvey carriages and cyclists are out in force.
