Local Tips

Give yourself a realistic departure window. Killarney town is Ireland’s busiest tourist hub outside Dublin, and summer mornings - especially after a bank holiday or a busy weekend - can mean slow movement through town before you’re even on the N21. The standard journey is 3 hours on clear roads. In July and August, add a buffer of 30 to 45 minutes and leave Killarney accordingly.

Share your flight number at the time of booking. The DM Executive Line team monitors flights from the moment you confirm. If your departure is delayed or the gate changes overnight, they’re ahead of it - but only if they have the flight number on file from the start.

Know which Dublin Airport terminal you need. Terminal 1 handles most regional and European carriers; Terminal 2 is predominantly Aer Lingus and transatlantic services. The drop-off roads for each terminal are separate. Worth confirming which you need when you book so your chauffeur has the right approach route confirmed before you leave Kerry.

The 15-minute service stop is your only stretch break. The route runs roughly 260km through the Midlands with one planned stop. If you haven’t had breakfast, the stop around Portlaoise or Cashel is the moment to get something. There’s no second one built in.
