Boundary Brewing Taproom Tour and Tasting - Belfast

At Boundary Brewing Taproom · A4-A7, 310 Newtownards Road, Belfast, Co. Antrim, BT4 1HE

Boundary Brewing taproom taps and brewing equipment in East Belfast

What to Expect

Boundary Brewing is a cooperative brewery based in East Belfast’s PortView Trade Centre, and its Saturday tours are a chance to see the brewing side of the operation before settling into the taproom. A member of the team walks visitors through the brewery, covering the sights and smells of the brewing process, before leading a tutored tasting of three thirds of Boundary’s own beer. Afterwards the taproom itself is open, with 20 taps mixing Boundary’s own brews with imported Belgian beers, a curated wine list and spritzes. The taproom is dog-friendly and family-friendly, and while there’s no kitchen on site, a nearby pizzeria delivers, so it works well as a relaxed Saturday afternoon or evening out.

Being a genuine cooperative, owned by its members rather than a private company, gives Boundary a slightly different feel to a typical brewery tap - the team running the tour tends to be genuinely invested in walking visitors through the process rather than delivering a scripted pitch. The brewery has built a reputation among Northern Ireland’s craft beer scene since it opened in 2014, and the taproom’s rotating guest taps mean regulars see a different line-up most weeks even outside tour hours. Because tours currently run only on Saturdays and slots are limited, this listing is kept updated to the next Saturday date rather than a fixed one-off booking.
