Antrim Camogie are heading to Croke Park for the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Intermediate Final on Sunday 9 August 2026. The intermediate grade is where counties compete for promotion to senior status and for a title that carries real weight in the camogie world. Antrim earned their place with a commanding group campaign that included a 2-16 to 1-9 win over Kerry in Ahoghill, with Róisín McCormick outstanding on the day. They finished in the top two of their group - alongside Kerry, Down and Derry - going straight to the semi-finals on 18 July and bypassing the quarter-final stage entirely. It is a significant day for the county.
Finals Day at Croke Park is one of the landmark occasions in the camogie year. The intermediate final typically shares the bill with other grade deciders, so the programme runs across several hours and the atmosphere builds steadily through the afternoon. The intermediate grade often produces the most open match of the day - teams at this level have everything to prove and nothing to lose. Antrim supporters travelling from Belfast will have a fair journey south, and the saffron and white travels well to the capital. Throw-in time is to be confirmed; check camogie.ie or aontroimcamogie.com for the confirmed schedule closer to the date.
Croke Park sits in Dublin 3, a short walk from the city centre. From Belfast, the Dublin Express and other coach services make the run in around two hours, or Enterprise rail connects Belfast to Dublin Connolly - roughly a fifteen-minute walk or a short bus ride from the stadium. Driving from Belfast is about 100 miles via the M1 and M50; parking near the ground on match days is tight, so arriving into the city early and using public transport from there is the practical move.
For supporters gathering before or after the trip, Belfast has no shortage of good spots to meet in the Cathedral Quarter or around the city centre. There is more to see in Belfast and across Co. Antrim.
