What to Expect

The Clonard Solemn Novena is one of Belfast’s largest annual faith gatherings, drawing tens of thousands of people over nine days to Clonard Monastery on the Falls Road. The novena honours Our Mother of Perpetual Help and features six or seven sessions daily, preached by Redemptorist priests. Special events within the nine days include a Blessing of Families (Saturday 22 June, 11:30am and 1:30pm), a Sacrament of the Sick service (Sunday 23 June, 11:30am and 1:30pm), an Ecumenical Inter-Church Day (Monday 24 June), and a Youth Session with Mass (Sunday 23 June, 8:00pm). All Masses are broadcast live via webcam on the monastery website.
