What to Expect

Hearts on Fire is the Diocese of Down and Connor’s annual conference for parish leaders, now in its second year. The 2026 gathering takes place at the Hilton Hotel in Belfast city centre over two days and is part of the diocese’s broader Jubilee Year of Hope programme. The event brings together parish leaders - priests, deacons, and lay leaders - from across the diocese’s parish families and from further afield in Ireland, to renew the vision for evangelisation and explore practical ways to reignite the church’s missionary spirit. The 2025 opening Mass was celebrated at St Peter’s Cathedral by Bishop Alan McGuckian.
