Glenarm Monthly Community Market

At Eglinton Yard Barn · New Road, Glenarm, Co. Antrim

Craft stalls set up inside Eglinton Yard Barn for the Glenarm community market

What to Expect

Eglinton Yard Barn in Glenarm hosts an indoor community market on the first Saturday of most months, from spring through to the run-up to Christmas. Stallholders sell handmade crafts, home baking and local food and drink, and the market keeps a dedicated “Made in Glenarm” stall showcasing work by makers based in the village itself. It is a small, relaxed gathering rather than a big commercial fair, run by and for the local community, and organisers welcome dogs on leads. Many visitors combine a trip with a walk through nearby Glenarm Forest, which is a short stroll from the barn, or a look round Glenarm Castle and the historic harbour before browsing the stalls.

Glenarm is one of the smaller villages on the Antrim Coast Road, and the market has become a fixture of its social calendar, giving local makers a regular outlet and giving residents and visitors a reason to stop off between the Causeway coast and Belfast. Expect a modest but steady turnout of stalls rather than a large commercial fair, with the mix changing slightly from month to month depending on who is trading that Saturday.

Getting There

Glenarm sits on the Antrim Coast Road (A2) between Larne and Carnlough, around 25 minutes’ drive north of Larne and about an hour from Belfast. Eglinton Yard is signposted just off the Coast Road at the entrance to Glenarm village, close to Glenarm Castle and the harbour, with parking available in the village.
