St Anne's Parkrun - Clontarf

At St Anne's Park · St Anne's Park, Mount Prospect Avenue, Clontarf, Dublin 5, Co. Dublin

Runners at St Anne's Park parkrun in Clontarf

What to Expect

St Anne’s parkrun is a free, timed 5km run held every Saturday morning at 9:30am in St Anne’s Park, the large public park that sits between Clontarf and Raheny on Dublin’s northside. Like every parkrun event, it’s open to all abilities, runners and walkers alike, and there’s no obligation to be timed if you’d rather just take part for the fun of it. It’s a genuinely community-driven event, with a regular crew of local volunteers marshalling the course each week.

First-timers need to register once on the parkrun website and bring a printed or scanned copy of their personal barcode to be scanned at the finish line; after that, there’s nothing more to book, you simply turn up. The course winds through the park’s mature parkland setting, one of the largest public parks in Dublin, making it a popular Saturday morning fixture for both serious runners chasing a personal best and families out for a gentle jog or walk together.

Afterwards, many participants head to Olive’s Room on site for tea, coffee, cakes, salads, sandwiches and soup, and a general market also runs in the park every Saturday from 9am to 5pm, so there’s plenty to do in the area either side of the run. Check the St Anne’s parkrun social media or website ahead of a visit in case of any one-off cancellations due to events in the park.
