What to Expect

Lacada Brewery is a community-owned co-operative brewery on the Causeway Coast in Portrush, with more than 400 local co-owners and a taproom pouring around nineteen taps of its own beers and kombucha, from core releases like West Bay and Rathlin Gold to rotating seasonal small batches. The brewery runs guided tours every Friday and Saturday at 3:15pm, with two formats on offer. The full tour runs 45 to 60 minutes and takes visitors through all seven stops of the working brewery, with hands-on ingredient sampling, a curated beer tasting led by one of the brewers, and a look at the brewery’s awards wall and label art history. A shorter spot tour runs 15 to 20 minutes, covering the same seven stops without the tasting, for anyone short on time. Tours need a minimum group size of four, and the brewery is on ground level throughout, with accommodations available for specific access needs if flagged when booking. Group and private tours can also be arranged outside the standard Friday and Saturday slots.

Getting There

Lacada Brewery sits in Portrush on the North Antrim coast, close to the town’s harbour and seafront, and is a short walk from Portrush’s train station on the Belfast to Londonderry line via Coleraine. Translink Goldliner and local Ulsterbus services also serve Portrush from across the Causeway Coast.
