What to Expect

Oktoberfest Belfast returns to Custom House Square, running across five separate weekends between 24 September and 24 October 2026: 24-26 September, 1-3 October, 8-10 October, 15-17 October and 22-24 October. Each weekend brings a traditional “oom-pah-pah” band alongside local entertainment, German beers poured by the litre, and Bavarian food cooked on-site including grilled sausages and other festival staples. Staff work the tent in traditional Bavarian costume, anyone who turns up in lederhosen or a dirndl gets in free, and students go free on Thursdays with valid ID. It is a pay-on-the-door event with table bookings available but not required, giving it a more drop-in feel than a ticketed festival, and it has become one of the fixtures of Belfast’s autumn events calendar, bringing a slice of the German festival tradition to Custom House Square’s open-air tent. Getting There
