What to Expect

Independent company Just Tea and Friends, founded by five Northern Ireland artists, brings Adam Gwon’s celebrated chamber musical Ordinary Days to the Lyric Theatre’s Naughton Studio in Belfast for three performances on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September 2026. The show follows four strangers in New York City whose lives unexpectedly intersect, set against a city forever changed by the events of September 11. Through a contemporary score of warmth, humour and heart, it explores loneliness, ambition, friendship and the small, quiet moments that turn out to matter most. The production is entirely self-produced, with the company handling everything from securing performance rights and fundraising to set design and rehearsals themselves. It is written, composed and scored by Adam Gwon, whose work is known internationally for its intimate, character-driven storytelling in a small-cast format well suited to studio theatre spaces.

Getting There
