Árainn Mhór Country Fest

At Árainn Mhór Holiday Village · Fallagowan, Arranmore Island, Co. Donegal

Marquee dance floor and live band at Árainn Mhór Country Fest on Arranmore Island

What to Expect

Now in its 14th year, Árainn Mhór Country Fest is Arranmore Island’s country music weekend, run out of the Árainn Mhór Holiday Village in Fallagowan. The 2026 line-up includes Patrick Feeney, Jack Keogh, Olivia Douglas and Stacey Breen among others, playing across the weekend in a marquee fitted with a full dance floor and a licensed bar, with onsite food service so people do not need to leave the site between sets. What sets it apart from a mainland country festival is the logistics: organisers run a late ferry on Arranmore’s ferry after the music finishes each night, with the return foot-passenger crossing included in the ticket price, so people can stay for the last band without worrying about missing the boat back. Camper van parking with facilities is available on site for anyone touring in, and self-catering accommodation at the Holiday Village means it is realistic to make a full weekend of it rather than a day trip.

Good to Know

Getting There

Arranmore is reached by ferry from Burtonport on the Donegal mainland, a crossing of around 15 to 20 minutes. Burtonport is roughly 15 minutes from Dungloe on the N56. Festival ticket holders get a late-night return sailing back to Burtonport included after the music finishes, which is one of the main draws for mainland visitors who do not want to book overnight accommodation, though staying at the Holiday Village for the full weekend is also an option.
