Belcoo Sports and Festival takes over the village for ten days from Saturday 8 to Monday 17 August 2026, one of Fermanagh’s longest-running and most popular community festivals. It is a genuinely village-wide event rather than a single set-piece day, with activities spread across the whole period and most of the village’s clubs, halls and pubs taking part in some form.
The programme mixes family fun days and children’s entertainment with sporting fixtures, a community parade, live and traditional music sessions, quizzes, bingo, tractor runs, treasure hunts, fishing competitions and exhibitions. Food and refreshments run throughout the festival, and organisers describe the atmosphere as one of the liveliest in the county’s summer calendar. Because the programme spans so many days and venues around Belcoo, most editions carry a printed or Facebook-published schedule closer to the time, with individual events (the parade, the tractor run, the music nights) drawing different crowds across the ten days rather than everyone turning out for one single occasion. It is a community-organised festival rather than a ticketed commercial one, which shows in the mix of homely events like bingo and quizzes alongside the bigger set pieces.
Belcoo sits on the A509, on the border with County Cavan and close to Blacklion on the southern side, about 24km southwest of Enniskillen. The village is small enough to get around on foot once parked, with most festival venues within a short walk of the main street.
