What to Expect

The Burren Brewery is based in the Roadside Tavern, a pub with over 150 years of history in Lisdoonvarna. Master brewer and third-generation owner Peter Curtin leads guided tours through the brewing process before hosting a tasting of the four signature Burren beers: Burren Gold (a characterful lager), Burren Red (a spicy, slightly sweet ale with a hint of smoke), Burren Black (a smooth, full-bodied stout), and Euphoria (a hop-less gruit beer brewed with locally foraged herbs). Tours run weekdays at 3:30pm and are limited to groups of six people, so pre-booking is essential.

Getting There
