What to Expect

The Doonbeg Family Festival is an annual community celebration held in the second week of August in the coastal village of Doonbeg, West Clare. Running for more than 30 years, the festival brings together locals and visitors with a full week of family-friendly events including a cultural parade, outdoor barbecue, talent competition, children’s fancy dress parade and the much-loved donkey derby. Getting There
