The Cork Midsummer Festival is one of Ireland’s leading international arts festivals, transforming Cork city for 10 days every June with a programme spanning theatre, dance, music, opera, visual arts, and street arts. The 2026 theme is “Time to Play,” with highlights including Isabelle Huppert performing a live reading, a new circus spectacle at City Hall, and a city-wide trail of child-only play pods. The festival closes on the summer solstice (21 June) with a Solstice Ceili on the streets of Cork.
